Tony Roberts

 

A two-time Golf Photographer of the Year, Tony Roberts has spent the last thirty-five years photographing the game’s perennial champions and the world’s finest courses.  Roberts has contributed to every major golf magazine and his photographs have graced over 300 covers. In 1987, he was the recipient of the USGA’s Book of the year Award for his photographs in Robert Trent Jones, Golf’s Magnificent Challenge.

His most famous photograph is of Tom Watson’s legendary chip-in to win the 1982 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Most recently, he and his publishing partner, Michael Bartlett, produced The Estancia Club, a large format book for which Tony was the principal photographer and co-author. He was also the contributing photographer for The Desert Forest Golf Club, a history of the Carefree, Arizona club.Tony and his wife Leslie reside in Scottsdale, Arizona and are members of the Troon Country Club.
